Ditch the T.V for a Board Game
With recent research recommending no screen time at all for children under the age of one and no more than two hours for children over 2 we think there’s no better time to encourage children to sit down and play a board game.
We all know that board games are great fun to play but they also have several other benefits. First and most importantly they can bring the whole family together and offer children the chance to spend time with their parents, siblings and friends in a fun, unhurried way. Board games also have fantastic educational merits such as developing numeracy , colour and shape recognition. They also help children develop important social skills such as how to win and lose gracefully in a competitive environment, sharing and taking turns.
