Are wooden toys better for the environment......?

Finding ways to help protect the environment is becoming more important to everyone now that we understand the damage we have done to the planet with our throw away attitude so could we help by choosing wooden rather than plastic toys?

Wooden toys are timeless and are often still going strong after being enjoyed by multiple generations and unlike plastic or hi-tech toys they don’t suffer from the curse of becoming outdated. Even those that are discarded are bio-degradable by their very nature so won’t fill up landfill sites.

More than that though good quality wooden toys are often made with sustainable wood and don’t contain the PVC or other harmful chemicals used in plastic toys so are far more eco-friendly.

Therefore just with the simple act of picking for example a wooden toy truck instead of a plastic one you are doing a bit if only in a small way for the future of the planet for future generation.
